About this movie

Louis is a regular guy. He runs a small print-and-copy shop in a Long Island strip mall. He drinks beer with his best buddy, Stan. He hunts for evidence that ghosts exist. Believe it or not, Louis is normal, one of many thousands of people who consider themselves amateur ghost-hunters. It’s an escape from the drudgery of his daily routine and a reminder that there may be more to life than he knows. When a customer walks into his print shop and mentions possible paranormal activity at an abandoned farm outside of town, Louis sees a chance to finally indulge his hobby for real. With the help of his depressed best friend, a screw-up nephew, an overly-vigilant mall cop, a hack cable-access psychic, a whip-smart beautician and a van filled with amateur equipment, Louis is determined to catch some ghosts on film. But poltergeists are the least of what the team finds in the abandoned McIntosh estate. What begins as a bumbling attempt to explore the farm soon becomes a hilarious and terrifying race to escape it alive.

It was ok. Not the best but not the worst. Lol. It wasn't all that funny but I have a weird sense of humor so it's kind of hard to make me laugh. It was good to see some familiar faces though. Justin Long (Darry from Jeepers Creepers) Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) Jason Hawes (Ghost Hunters) Steve Gonsalves (Ghost Hunters) just to name a few. It could have been done a bit better. Like more jump scares and more comedy. If you're a stoner and smoke some before you watch this, then you might find this to be more hilarious. I would not got and pay to see it at the movies. But that's just my opinion. You would have to watch it yourself to find out.

Ghost Team...it's that other ghost movie besides the Ghostbusters reboot that we've all been dying to see...ok, maybe not. I received this movie for free from a Google promotion and while I didn't love it, I didn't hate it either. It has it's moments and succeeds in offering some quirky characters with some genuinely funny one-liners. I'm a huge fan of Jon Heder and Justin Long and they didn't disappoint. Jon Heder plays a paranormal-obsessed man that goes on a ghost investigation of his own with a rag tag team. They end up finding a little more than ghosts and well, I'll just leave it at that. I like where the story ends up and I'd be lying if I said I didn't watch the credits hoping for an extra scene. While it's not the most memorable comedy you'll see, it's worth checking out, especially if you were able to get it during Google's free download promotion.

At first, even though it was free, I thought I had paid too much. It feels like a direct to Blu-ray movie. I wouldn't pay to see in the theaters or even video on demand. That said there are some funny moments mostly at Justin Long's expense. The 3rd act has some surprises and they catch some interesting evidence. It's only 83 minutes, it probably could be cut to 70 minutes, so watch it here for free or wait for it to get to TV. One other thing the Ghost Getters look familiar I think their on SyFy. The Ghost Team is just OK which here is 3 stars.
